I was instantly awakened from a dream and was shocked at what the Lord had said, “Where there is lack of vision the people cast off restraint.” (Proverbs 29:18)
UNDERSTANDING
I knew that this meant satan was raging, more vicious than ever before, to stop the next generation from getting a revelation of who God is (His heart, His nature.) And they did not have a vision of His end time plan. So, they would throw off restraint and sin more and more. The main point: if they don’t have revelation of God, and vision on where God is leading, they will grow deeper in sin daily.
We must respond today by strengthening marriages, encouraging parents, equipping leaders, and giving Godly vision to the next generation.
Instead of telling the next generation to stop sinning, we have to show them how to live righteous, and give them vision to live a righteous, joy filled life.
LET ME EXPLAIN MORE
As God spoke each word seemed to explode with deeper meaning. I will attempt to share what I heard, and I hope that this will give you a vision of who God is and what He has planned as He unfolds what He already said in the Word of God.
WHERE
First, the word “where”. I understood God was talking about the hearts, souls, and minds of people. I understood that we had to steward each of these according to His mercy and will. Jesus taught, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.” Meaning, He wanted to have a resting place, a place of love, a place of encounter, a place of peace, in all three of these areas. And each area was as important as the other. For example, He wanted me to love Him with ALL MY MIND. He wanted to bring rest in my mind; He wanted my mind to be a safe place to encounter Him.
I have been given the mind of Christ, and not a mind that was given over to double mindedness.
I have the mind of Christ and not a resting place for satan, evil thoughts, and tormenting pains of the past, nor viciously fearful thoughts of the future.
I have the mind of Christ, but satan wants to make it a resting place of horrible conversations, ones that did not exist in the natural world, but I was giving them life as I dwelt on what someone might say, what I should have said. These conversations don’t actually exist until I give them life by meditating upon them. My mind is the resting place of God, where I can love Him with all my mind.
I understood, my mind was more powerful then I knew, but I had allowed the flesh, satan, and unrighteous thoughts to take up residence. This was actually keeping me from seeing God, and seeing who I was to Him.
VISION
Next, the word “vision”. I knew that meant two things: vision and revelation. Vision, of who God is; the true character, nature and knowledge of God. And revelation, God wants to have revelation of His plans and purposes. Particularly His plans for these end times.
I knew that as my heart, soul, and mind were connected to God. Then I would be able to have vision of who He was, and get revelation of His end time leadership. Then, when I knew who He was, and what He was doing I would follow Him in whatever happens in the near future. And this would keep me from the end time falling away.
Then the word “the people”. I knew He was speaking of the body of Christ. But it seemed as He spoke it I had things broken down into two different groups. The older generation and generation Z. He then said, “Pray that both do not fall away.” And these three Scriptures came to mind. Matthew 22:5-9, 2 Thessalonians 2:1-3, 2 Timothy 3:15)
LOVE
God is a Jealous God, and He loves us with an everlasting Love. He is calling us to return to loving Him and loving our neighbor.
Matthew 22:37-39
“Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
GREAT FALLING AWAY
Wake up! There is a great falling away happening, but it will increase (Matthew 24:12) we must pray, preach, and prophecy.
2 Thessalonians 2:1-3
“Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition…”
HOLY BIBLE
The Bible has the answers and we have to teach a generation to read the Word of God until that find vision and revelation of who God is and what He has planned.
2 Timothy 3:15
“...and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.”
CAST OFF RESTRAINT
In the dream I knew if we did not draw close to God, grotesque sin would increase and become mainstream. We had to draw close to God, and He would draw close to us. As married couples, love God and love your spouse with patient love. In the same way you have been loved by God, love one another. As parents we should not provoke our children so our home, and they could receive the blessings of God (Exodus 20:12; Eph. 6:1-3). As children, love God, seek God, honor your parents, & read your Bible until you feel His presence when you read. The best is yet to come.
