how to
stop believing the devil's lies
Below is a simple step-by-step process for you to walk out your God given freedom.

Jesus said, come
find
rest
"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
a note for you
I want to share with you how I stopped believing the devil’s lies and nailed them to the cross of Jesus Christ. This is how I went from being a victim to a valued child of God.
I want to tell you a secret. For most of my life, the Devil tore apart my mind and heart with lies. And it caused me to live as a scared victim. I was afraid to wake up, afraid to go to bed, afraid of what people thought about me, and afraid of the future. It seemed that no matter what good thing was happening in my life, the Devil would come along and lie to me. And the worst part about it was I believed him. Then one day, God asked me a question. “Why do you believe the Devil's lies more than you believe My words?”
I was shocked. First, I was shocked that God spoke to me, and second, I never thought that I believed the Devil more than God’s words.
I would like to think it all changed that day, but it did not. Instead, I went on a journey and learned to trust God and believe His words. I looked at the story of how Jesus overcame temptation and realized, even Jesus quoted Scripture, so I knew I needed to understand Bible truth. Next, I saw that God loved me even in my failures and weaknesses, and this helped me to overcome my striving and insecurities. Then I studied the cross of Jesus Christ and the power that really was given to us to overcome.
Then as a young person, I started to take 3x5 cards and write down Bible verses to help me overcome the lies. And every time a lie came into my head, I would say, “I don’t receive the lie, help me to believe the truth.” Then I quoted the Bible verse again and again until it was my shield and strength and not my own effort. Things did not change right away, but they definitely got better.
I went from a shy, skinny, timid, and afraid child to a husband, father of six amazing children, and missionary who has traveled to many different countries to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I still have lies attack me every day, and some days are worse than others, but God’s word is there to help rescue me. And I want to share this process with you.
Remember, we are all ordinary people called to do extraordinary things in the mercy and grace of God.
Much Grace,
