18 DAYS TO LEARN TO PRAY THE OUR FATHER

SUMMER YOUTH PRAYER GROUP

come and spend 18 days learning to pray the OUR FATHER

Ages 13 to 18 year old; at the Triangle Prayer Room

SUMMER YOUTH PRAYER GROUP

18 DAYS LEARNING TO PRAY THE OUR FATHER

Ages 13 to 18 year old

WE DESIRE TO HELP FUEL DAY AND NIGHT PRAYER IN THE HEART OF THE NEXT GENERATION. The primary way we do this is helping to open the door for times of practical teaching about prayer, all while practicing prayer. We want this to impact their hearts, the heart of their family, their local church, and the nations of the earth.

WHAT IS THE GOAL OF THIS COURSE?

18 DAYS THROUGH THE OUR FATHER. We all need to learn to pray. Prayer is a journey that you must go on. This will be a time for you to connect with God and draw near to His heart, learn His will and then speak it forth in prayer. Jesus said, “When you pray,” and not if you pray (Matthew 6:5). Many people know how to connect with God and “feel” His Presence, but not necessarily how to pray His will into existence.

Please email Ben ASAP holyclubs@gmail.com

WHAT CAN PARENTS DO DURING THIS TIME?

Parents can either drop their child off and pick up at the end of class, or they can choose to stay in the prayer room during this time. The prayer room will be open and available for personal prayer. We will have worship music playing from 5 to 6pm. Then a live set starts at 6pm, and then we have another live set from 7 to 9pm.

PLEASE NOTE THIS CLASS WILL BE FILMED FOR A MINI DOCUMENTARY

We are going to film this class and make a documentary for parents and young people alike to learn how to pray. Jesus’ disciples said, “Teach us to Pray.” So we are going to make a mini-documentary to help young people overcome their obstacles and learn how to pray. Also, we want to impact the family. So we will be asking the parents, those who would like, to sit down, answer some interview questions, and participate in the documentary.

WHAT IF I DON’T WANT MY CHILD ON YOUTUBE?

No problem. We will make sure that your child is not in the video, unless it is their back and unrecognizable (See waiver).

WAIVER FOR DOCUMENTARY

WHAT IS THE BIBLICAL BASIS FOR A FUNCTIONING MODERN DAY PRAYER ROOM

LIKE UNTO DAVID’S TABERNACLE?

WE DESIRE TO HELP FUEL AND FUND DAY AND NIGHT PRAYER IN THE HEART OF THE NEXT GENERATION (Just like David did in his day). The primary way we do this is helping to pay singers, musicians, artisans, and skilled administrators to build the House of Prayer. We also want to work in conjunction with the local church to see that these singers, musicians, administrators, and artisans are taught strong Biblical truths.

IS THE HOUSE OF PRAYER IN THE BIBLE?

The understanding of “My house shall be called a House of Prayer,” originates from Isaiah 56:7 and is quoted by Jesus in Matthew 21:13 and Mark 11:17. Jesus said, “My House shall be called a House of Prayer for all Nations.

OUR FATHER IN HEAVEN IS WORTHY OF OUR WORSHIP AND PRAYER ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN.

Jesus set up an earthly tabernacle in Moses day so that He can dwell with the people of Israel and the nations of the earth. (Jesus sat upon the Mercy seat; Exodus 25:22). This Throne is surrounded by a priesthood of people ministering day and night unto God’s Holy Presence. In the same way there is a Heavenly Tabernacle where God the Father sits on the Throne. He is surrounded by worship and prayer in Heaven with 4 Living creatures, 24 Elders, and a multitude of Heavenly Host (see Revelation 4-5).

God’s desire is to bring these two tabernacles together under one reality (Rev. 21:1-4). He wants to dwell with His people in Jerusalem, and it is there that all the Nations come to worship Him (Isa. 2:3; 66:23; Zech 8:22-23; 14:21). Then the Glory of the Lord will fill the whole earth (Habakkuk 2:14; Isa. 6:3).

Jesus taught the disciples to pray, “Our Father in Heaven, Hallowed be Your Name. Let Your Kingdom come, and Your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven” (Matt. 6; Luke 11) This prayer reflects God’s character, His desire, and His plan. His Throne is coming down from Heaven to earth (Rev. 21:1-4). God has given all authority to believers (Matthew 28:18-20). Through the acts of worship, prayer, COMBINED to our actions of “GO” to preach the Gospel, and make disciples, we partner in His Kingdom Come and His will being done.

WHY NOT JUST DO THE GREAT COMMISSION INSTEAD OF WORSHIPPING AND PRAYING ALL THE TIME?

Worship, prayer, communion with God’s presence, and the Great Commission were always made to work together. We have to establish a place for God’s Presence both locally (in our heart, home, church, city, region), and eventually permanently in Jerusalem (Jer. 3:17). God gave us the message of the Gospel as the primary way to gather people into His presence and will.

Worship, prayer, and communion with God’s presence was established by God around His Holy Presence is not a means to the end, it is the end goal. You will be doing this for all eternity (Rev. 4 & 5).

WHAT ABOUT THE PRIESTHOOD TODAY?

Jesus said, “When you pray,” and not if you pray (Matthew 6:5). We believe one of God’s first acts in bringing Israel out of the wilderness was to establish the Priesthood, those that ministered to God day and night (Exodus 19:6). The Priesthood was given just for Israel to function as a kingdom of priests. We see this in Moses, David, and Solomon’s Tabernacle. However, this Priesthood was opened up to Gentiles who believed in God (Isa. 56:6 “...sons of foreigners who join themselves to the Lord.”).

This Priesthood of both Jew and Gentile believers is further glorified after the death and resurrection of Jesus as the book of Revelation declares, “To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.” This means Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6) ; our Savior (John 3:16; 1 John 4:14), He is the head of the Church (Colossians 1:18, Ephesians 1:22, and Ephesians 5:23), & He is the Melchizedek High Priest (Psalm 110:4 ; Hebrews 7:21). Jesus is our Savior, head of the Church, and our overcoming High Priest.

Peter further explains that we are called to be a Priesthood of all Believers from the Family of God (both Jew and Gentile) united together in God’s love (1 Peter 2:5).

Peter also shares that all who link themselves to the Lord were baptised by the Holy Spirit, both Jew and Gentile, as the Holy Spirit fell as a tongue of fire on both Jews and Proselytes (Newcomer; one who has converted over from a Gentile religion to Judaism). Paul also declares there were Cretens and Arabs and many other ethos groups (Acts 2:3-13). Paul continues that Jesus broke down the middle wall of separation, between Jew and Gentile, to bring us together as one body (Ephesians 2:15-17). Then, in Romans 1-8 and Romans 9-11,  he further clarifies that both Jew and Gentile are united together as one in the family of God. Therefore we are called to be a living sacrifice holy, acceptable and pleasing unto God our Father in Heaven (Rom 12:1-2). Truly He is the Burning One and We are the Offering out of every Nation, Tribe, Tongue, and People (Rev. 7:1-9; Isaiah 66:20).

David taught and the Psalmist declared, “Oh, sing to the Lord a new song! Sing to the Lord, all the earth” (Psalm 96:1). And David gave his strength to build the House of Prayer unto God’s Throne coming to earth in Psalm 132:3-5:

“Surely I will not go into the chamber of my house,

Or go up to the comfort of my bed;

I will not give sleep to my eyes

Or slumber to my eyelids,

Until I find a place for the Lord,

A dwelling place for the Mighty One of Jacob.”

Also, Jesus said, “My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations.” (Isaiah 56:7; Jeremiah 7:11; Matthew 21:13; Mark 11:17). Therefore, as the nations of earth we are called to sing. Our worship & prayers are sung unto the Worthy One. We do this until His Kingdom has come and His will is being done. This is when His Throne dwells with us in Jerusalem (Jer. 3:17; Rev. 21-22).
